At the writing of this report, we are having yet another rain
spell. It has been a very tough end to
our Summer, with the heavy rains and flooding in our area. I wish everyone the best
with your recovery from this crazy weather pattern, and can only hope things
dry out a bit and we have some beautiful Fall days in our future.
It appeared as though
everyone and their families had a very enjoyable summer here in WLE. This year
was a special year for Wallenpaupack Lake Estates. In
addition to the always popular Fourth of July picnic, we had several enhanced celebrations and a weekend devoted
specifically to WLE’s 40th anniversary. A big thank you to the committees and volunteers who helped put these
celebrations together. In addition, thanks to Jack Gilleeny, Mick
Henry, Dolores Russo and Steve Sollenne, Wallenpaupack Lake Estates now
has a beautiful Memorial next to the main
office. I hope everyone gets a chance to
stop by and visit this newest and glorious addition to our Community.
As we do every Summer, myself
and the Board of Directors would like to start by thanking John Carney, the
Administrative Office, Maintenance, Security, and the Sewer & Water
Department for keeping the community running so well all summer!! Thank you to the swim coaches and moms for
their fantastic work and devotion, which led to yet another successful swim
season. Parents and grandparents, this is a great way for your kids to interact
with other kids in the community and for you to meet new people as well.
To finish out, last year we
had an incredible Fall Festival which was a big success. I hope to see as many people there again this
year, and more! As you read this newsletter, Fall Festival will be just another
amazing WLE memory, but fortunately for all of us, the same coordinators will
be putting together an all NEW Winter Fest! Please contact
the office if you'd like to volunteer, or for more information on this or any
other WLE event or meetings.

Have a great Fall.
