    Summer Issue #116

    Building Compliance

    By Fran Raimo

It is nice to see so many property owners keeping up and maintaining their property. However, please remember to come in for a NON-FEE permit for any exterior work that requires non-manual tools. The exception to this would be the use of lawn mowers, leaf blowers and weed whackers, or if you have a contractor doing the work. Also, changing any exterior color to any structure requires color approval and a non-fee permit.  To keep our community beautiful and keeping the upstanding reputation W.L.E. is known for, not to mention your property value, everyone should try to keep up on the maintenance of their house and property. Nicely maintained homes reflect the pride in ourselves and our community. So, freshen up the paint on your house, get the mold off your roof, and get rid of the stuff lying around the property and let that house shine. You and your neighbors will be happier for it.

The building of houses is still moving along, we are up to 1341 homes, with about 10 houses still in construction. There are a few additions and decks in progress as well.

A reminder to all who will have a shed built or delivered, please have Paupack Township issue a Certificate of Use, so I can then issue a W.L.E. Letter of Compliance. Once these are both in place you will then be able to utilize your shed.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer.
