    WALLENPAUPACK LAKE ESTATES
    PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION
    SPECIAL MEETING
    November 14, 2009

    The meeting was assembled by President, Jerry Beskovoyne. Seated at the dais were Jerry Beskovoyne, President, Gina Florio, Vice President, Dan Braun, Treasurer, Ted Couillou, Secretary and member, Alan Cuccinello. Also present were General Manager John Carney and Association attorney, Howard Terreri. Debbie Borger and her assistant of Riley and Company were present but not seated at the dais.

    The president questioned administration staff member Sandy Aleckna if there was a quorum present. Sandy indicated that there in fact was. The meeting was then called to order at 1:21 PM and the Pledge of Allegiance recited.

    This meeting was called for the purpose of announcing the votes on the proposal as follows:

    Pursuant to a petition presented to the Board of Directors of the Wallenpaupack Lake Estates Property Owners Association, there is a special meeting scheduled for November 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM for the sole purpose of voting on a resolution permitting personnel of the Association’s Public Safety-Security Department to carry and/or bear firearms on Wallenpaupack Lake Estates property.

    A five minute recess was taken for one last opportunity for those who had not yet voted.

    After all ballots were remitted, the final votes were tallied. A total of 694 ballots had been submitted. The results were as follows:

    487 votes cast against arming Public Safety

    207 votes cast for arming Public Safety

    One property owner questioned whether 10 guns had already been purchased. It was explained that they had been ordered but delivery of them was never taken.

    Motion to adjourn was made and seconded.
